wooow...this definitely seems like the progress nepali movies need (and I am being serious!)..this looks like a real cheap version of a bollywood movie!! this would be fun to watch...abstract art!! chek out this other movies trailer called mero euta sathi cha...not as good as this one (doesnt have foreign scenes!!)

from my point of view, the directors of nepali movie industry think that, a movie is awesome if it defines some vulgar scenes, and nextly the abroad landscape on the movie.
and in addition to these things there are come ready made ideas that lure the direction to do.like importing the foreign artists, and stories, and technology.
my perception says that it is good to be inspired by the foreigners but not to compile them.

i can feel like the music seems a bit progressed, and the technology is great compared to rest.the camera angles really made me smile, it may be the good sign for nepali movie industry.
BUT KNOW THAT SLUM DOG MILLIONAIRE was shooted in India, more specifically in the dumping site.
good luck, other wise people like we cant come to industry to work.

I understand what you are trying to say, my friend. We both are in the same boat. I too have my fingers crossed, but I don't expect anything great from this movie. Just a small hope that it maybe, just maybe, a small incremental progressive move for Nepali movies. I've seen a few movies at Bishwajyoti and Gopi Krishna, and had been really appalled by them. I hope this will not be so bad.

I am definitely not hoping to build Rome in a day either. I was merely trying to put forth the notion of "greatness" in a movie. I just thought maybe we should not be swayed with what we see in the other movie industry and try and copy it because a copycat will always be one. I do understand however that it may not be a commercial success which every director and especially a fresh of the boat hopes for. I am not sure how Kagbeni did commercially but I liked what it shot for. I mean the story plot and all was another copied thing but direction was excellent for a first-of-its kind. Now that it has attempted to set a trend to form an industry that would be distinct from others, I thought this was just too, you know, "local". I mean all the convertible shows, or the limousines.. you could really predict what it would be like right? I am definitely not trying to act smart and judge this movie bad but the trailer is not too appealing to be. And yes, it is my personal belief which I thought would share here so that I can see if I am wrong and the only one to think so. I would like Nepali movies to do good too, so I have my fingers crossed for this one as well.

Also, how do you expect a great movie all of a sudden. It is very hard to produce a great Nepali movie for Nepali audience coz it will not work. Look at the demographics of our country. Film industry, like every other industry is there to make money. A lot of what they produce is dictated by the market. It is really easy to be here and criticize. But don't expect great things all of a sudden. I liked the intro of this movie for it features new things. Our movies are now just increasing to the standard of our music videos. If you still like to compare this movie to Casablanca, I have nothing to say. Btw I guess both of us haven't seen the movie, so it would be better to not be so judgmental.

Really?? I am sorry but I cannot see anything great about this clip except that there seem to be a significant upgrade in picture quality from other regulars. But, that has very little to do with what constitutes a great movie. I mean, aren't oldies, let's pick Casablanca for instance, great even on a B&W pictures? So what's a great movie? It's the one where YOU wish to be a part of. This clip doesn't appeal to be aesthetically, let alone, it's subject matter, which looks cheesy and Bollywood-type. We don't need a boly-type here or even Hollywood-type, coming up with innovative ideas to bring forth a new genre is what we should aim for and what I am working for.
